In 2008, Scuola Vantini, in collaboration with LABA – Libera Accademia di Belle Arti of Brescia, took part in an Italy–Bangkok workshop, hosting a Thai artist in its workshop. The artist created a Botticino marble sculpture depicting a Buddha, which was exhibited at Villa Glisenti in Villa Carcina and later acquired by Marmi Ghirardi in Carpendolo.
